Maya (all pronouns) is a multiracial, Black, queer mama and organizer living in Hillsborough, North Carolina. Maya brings years of experience organizing and leading programming primarily within the Reproductive Justice movement. They received their Master’s in Social Work from UNC Chapel Hill in 2020, with a focus on communities and systems. As an abolitionist rooted in Black Queer Feminisms, Maya believes our people have the skills and ancestral knowledge to care for our babies, families & futures. In their free time, Maya enjoys baking, puzzling, and being by water.
