Location: This workshop takes place on our land project Owl Song Sanctuary in Siler City, North Carolina. The location is confidential but the address will be shared with you after your enrollment.

About the workshop:

We’ll be exploring the sensitivity of our perception and attunement within ourselves, each other and with the land. The practices we’ll explore supports us in heightening our ability to perceive and work with energy, nonverbal insights and the subtle cues with care, ease and deepening  trust in our relationships. Discussion, movement, contemplative and somatic practices, and games will help us connect and drop into physical touch and bodywork.

Lunch will be served.

Who is it for?

For those interested in subtle and non verbal healing, communication and care. All levels, no experience with touch, bodywork or energy work needed. We are committed to making our practice accessible, please share your accessibility needs in the application - modifications can be made to all practices.

What to bring:

Dress comfy and wear shoes you can stroll and move in. Pack your lunch and water. Keep scents very mild as we’ll be working in close proximity. Bring a journal to write or draw in. No additional supplies needed except body supports, as needed, as we’ll be working on the floor quite a bit. Bolsters, mats and blankets provided. Techniques can be adapted to sitting and chairs.

About the Teacher: Ósc Trujillo (any pronouns) is a member of TEI's methodology team and Program & Methodology Manager. Also an embodiment doula and performing artist whose practice bridges somatic education, the expressive arts, bodywork and intuitive energy reading, Oscar’s creative and healing arts projects aim to merge what is practical with what’s often beyond words

About the fee: Your fee supports the work of the Embodiment Institute, including the growth and sustainability of our land project. We value both accessibility and class analysis, and leveraging privilege to support others in our community. We ask that you pay on the scale according to your ability, in order to support access, and engage in interdependence in action. The practice of choosing a rate that is both affordable and heartfelt is a mindfulness and justice-seeking practice. We will not question your self-determined rate.
